I was drawn to this deviation thumbnail for two reasons: the sense of joyous abandonment it conveys and the colours. I was not disappointed with the enlargement, as is sometimes the case.
Given that you created it for a challenge I imagine the vision may have come first - if so, you chose the perfect model to convey your concept. In comparison with the original, you demonstrate a very skillful extraction technique, and any blurring/blending with the background is in keeping with the sense of movement. Equally, the marriage of model & background is close to perfect in all respects.
I can also see that you paid great attention to her hair with a lot of well-placed brushwork. It looks natural, & again is in keeping with the angle at which you've placed her & the movement. I also like the drift of white in the top left because it adds to the sense of abandon.
I think this is a wonderful example of how a mature, confident artist can see the potential in a fairly ho-hum model & turn it into something breath-taking.
